DRA. ROSANNA CHORRO
Dra. Rosanna Chorro graduated in Medicine from the University of Valencia, Spain, and completed her specialty training in Family Medicine in the same country. She later specialized in prehospital emergency care, gaining extensive experience as an emergency physician in ground settings and HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Services) operations. Together with her team, she pioneered the introduction of the REBOA technique in the prehospital setting in Spain. She is also officially accredited in Europe as a REBOA instructor by the European Body Accreditation.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Chorro is the President of the Spanish Association for Simulation in Emergency Medicine and co-founder of Prehospital Critical Care, an organization dedicated to improving prehospital care through education and training.
After completing her medical education in Spain, she continued her studies in the United States, where she completed a Fellowship in Clinical Education and Simulation at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. She later began a residency in Emergency Medicine, becoming the first Spanish woman to be accepted into an emergency medicine residency program in the U.S.
In addition to her medical career, Dr. Chorro became Spanish Muay Thai Champion in 2012. She is also actively involved in several organizations focused on animal rescue and medical assistance.
