DR. RYAN ERNST

Dr. Ryan Ernst is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Utah, where he currently serves as Section Chief of Global Emergency Medicine. He previously directed the Global EM Education Fellowship at UCSF Fresno, the Access and Innovation in Medical Education Fellowship at UCLA, and served as Director of Education for EM:RAP GO.

He is passionate about advancing emergency medicine education in developing countries and currently leads the Arboretum Teaching Collective, a non-profit organization focused on enhancing teaching and leadership capacity among international junior faculty. His medical journey began in wilderness medicine, and he has both completed and taught in the Diploma in Mountain Medicine program in Nepal.
